Mohamed Ali Palace in Shubra (also called Shubra Palace or Paradise Palace) is a 19th-century royal complex built by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1808 and 1821. Located in Shubra al-Kheima on the Nile’s east bank, it originally covered about 50 feddans, with gardens, reception palaces, kiosks, a boat anchorage, fountains, and ornate European-Islamic decorative styles. After extensive restoration, parts of it are now open to the public.
