The Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, located in the historic district of Cairo near the Citadel, is one of the finest examples of Mamluk architecture. Built between 1356 and 1363 AD by Sultan an-Nasir Hassan, the complex served as both a mosque and a madrasa teaching all four Sunni schools of thought. It is renowned for its grand scale, monumental entrance, and intricate stonework.
