Built between 1503–1505 CE by Sultan al-Ashraf Qansuh al-Ghuri, this five-story Mamluk-style caravanserai in Medieval Cairo features a rectangular open courtyard surrounded by storerooms on the lower floors and triplex apartments above. Its grand northern portal, mashrabiyas, and architectural craftsmanship remain remarkably preserved. It generated income for the adjacent funerary complex.
