Hammam of Sultan Inal

A Mamluk-period public bathhouse built in 1456 CE by Sultan Inal on al-Mu’izz Street in Islamic Cairo. It comprised three sequential rooms—cold, warm, and hot—with a stall-like entrance for privacy, domed rooms with stained-glass apertures for light and ventilation, and a heating system driven by a waterwheel and furnace. Recently restored and open as a heritage site.
