Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church

Located in Old Cairo, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus—known locally as Abu Serga—is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt. Built in the 4th–5th century AD, it is traditionally believed to mark the site where the Holy Family rested during their flight into Egypt. The basilica-style church features a crypt, wooden iconostasis and many early Coptic icons.
