Cairo Tower

The Cairo Tower, or Borg al-Qāhira, is a free-standing concrete tower built between 1956 and 1961 by Egyptian architect Naoum Shebib. At 187 meters tall, its design is inspired by the lotus plant, and it offers panoramic views of Cairo from its observation deck at about 143-160 m. There’s a revolving restaurant near the top. It sits on Gefira Island (Zamalek), in the heart of the Nile.
